Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Logistics Manager to lead our Fleet Single Haul department. This position is responsible for overseeing daily operations, supporting the logistics team, coordinating with independent contractor drivers, and ensuring our customers receive reliable, professional service. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and hands-on leader who can keep a fast-paced operation organized, solve problems quickly, and hold the team accountable for results. Key Responsibilities Lead and support the Fleet Single Haul logistics team Oversee daily load planning, dispatch activity, and delivery progress Ensure loads are assigned and completed efficiently Monitor service levels, department performance, and key operational metrics Maintain clear communication with customers, drivers, and internal departments Build positive relationships with independent contractor drivers Resolve service issues, delays, and other operational challenges Ensure information is entered accurately and kept current within company systems Coach employees, provide feedback, and reinforce department expectations Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and customer service Prepare and communicate regular performance updates to leadership Work closely with other managers to support overall company goals Qualifications Previous logistics, transportation, dispatch, or fleet management experience Prior leadership or team-management experience Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Comfortable handling challenging conversations and resolving conflicts Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Proficiency with computers and transportation, CRM, or database systems Dependable attendance and a professional attitude High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
