Job Description

Job Summary:
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the warehouse; including but not limited to: 1. Hold team accountable to company policies: Attendance, Safety-First, etc. 2. Ensure Load out is accurate and completed timely 3. Ensure all safety training is completed Ensure proper execution and implementation of all policies and procedures with regard to picking, packing, shipping, receiving and inventory management. Train and evaluate staff on effective inventory techniques and daily tasks. Assist in maintaining appropriate inventory levels and product loss control. Help to schedule and manage warehouse team members. Ensure all equipment, including but not limited to forklifts, pallet jacks, and fleet trucks are properly maintained and inspection practices are followed. Ability to work in cold (non-weather) temperatures. Facilitates teamwork throughout the facility and promotes a positive self-image. Ensure local level, corporate, and regulatory rules, regulations and policies are adhered to. Responsible for expense control, including shrink, labor and overhead costs in the Cooler. Follow and enforce all company policies and procedures regarding Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, and Quality standards. Responsible for employee performance evaluations and discipline. Ensure the proper load out process is maintained. Conduct and organize finished product inventory, review product availability and code dates daily. Ensure good housekeeping is maintained at all times. Maintains an air of professionalism and communicates effectively. Demonstrates problem solving and decision-making ability. Ability to prioritize and follow up on previous activities. Other duties as assigned. Skills Required / Ability to learn: Leadership and problem-solving skills Strong organizational and communication skills Must be a team player with the ability to plan and execute operational activities. Knowledge of Distribution of dairy and/or perishable products. Required to operate and be familiar with personal computers. Be self motivated and well organized.
Education/Experience Required:
High school diploma or GED required. Experience managing employees is required, preferably in a Plant/Distribution setting. Ability to operate a forklift preferred. Computer skills.
