Job Description

Duties:
  • Assist the dentist during dental procedures
  • Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
  • Take dental x-rays
  • Prepare materials for impressions and restorations
  • Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
  • Perform dental charting, medical coding, and documentation using Eaglesoft software
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and medical histories
  • Perform patient assessments, including blood pressure measurements and oral health evaluations
  • Provide support in dental procedures
Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficient in using dental software, such as Eaglesoft for medical coding and documentation
  • Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and equipment
  • Ability to take accurate dental x-rays and perform dental charting
  • Understanding of medical records management and confidentiality protocols This position requires a Dental Assistant certification or diploma from an accredited program.
