About the Role The Warehouse, Inventory & Shipping Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of warehouse activities, inventory management, and shipping processes. This position is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse functions, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products while maintaining accuracy and timeliness. The Supervisor will lead and coordinate a team to optimize workflow, enforce safety standards, and implement best practices to improve productivity. They will also manage inventory control systems to ensure stock accuracy and availability while minimizing discrepancies and losses. Ultimately, this role ensures customer orders are fulfilled accurately and shipped on time, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
Salary Range & Benefits Salary Range:
$65,000 - $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Manage inventory control processes to maintain accurate stock levels and conduct regular cycle counts and audits. Lead, train, and evaluate warehouse staff to ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures. Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and customer service teams to streamline supply chain processes and resolve issues. Monitor and maintain warehouse equipment and facilities to ensure a safe and efficient working environment. Prepare and analyze reports related to inventory levels, shipping accuracy, and team performance. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency and reduce operational costs. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, or shipping supervision. Proven experience leading and managing a team in a warehouse or distribution environment. Strong knowledge of inventory control procedures and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). Familiarity with OSHA regulations and warehouse safety best practices. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms. Logistics or supply chain certifications (e.g., APICS
CPIM, CSCP
). Demonstrated success implementing process improvements and cost-saving initiatives. Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume distribution environment. Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse operations. Ability to maintain inventory accuracy and coordinate shipping schedules. Effective leadership and team management skills, including training and employee development. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and OSHA compliance requirements. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret inventory data and generate operational reports. Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and related technologies. Commitment to process improvement and operational excellence. Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms preferred. APICS, CPIM, CSCP, or similar certifications preferred. Ability to lead strategic initiatives and support continuous improvement efforts.
