Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
Provides overall management and operational oversight of storeroom, receiving, inventory, and materials distribution services for St. Mary Medical Center, St. Catherine Hospital and designated offsite locations. Ensures the timely, accurate, and efficient receipt, storage, management, and distribution of supplies, materials, and equipment necessary to support safe, high-quality patient care. Provides leadership and direction to assigned staff and collaborates with Nursing, Purchasing, clinical departments, and other hospital leaders to maintain appropriate inventory levels, optimize departmental operations, and ensure consistent service across both hospital locations.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field preferred. 3 years of experience in materials management, inventory management, distribution, supply chain, storeroom operations, or a related field. Healthcare materials management or hospital supply chain experience preferred. Experience managing inventory or operations across multiple locations preferred. Previous supervisory or leadership experience required. Experience supervising employees by a labor union including bargaining agreements, grievance processes and union management practices preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, email, and internet-based systems. Experience with inventory management or ERP system, i.e. Peoplesoft preferred. Ability to interpret inventory, utilization, and operational reports. Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively prioritize multiple demands. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with employees, clinical departments, leaders, vendors, and other stakeholders. Ability to travel between St. Mary Medical Center, St. Catherine Hospital and designated offsite locations as required.
