JOB SUMMARY
Domestic Operations is responsible for controlling freight forwarding shipments into and out of the station across various modes of transportation based on customer requests. The primary focus is providing a high-level operations excellence and a quality customer service experience to all customers
Essential Functions:
o Tracking and tracing inbound/outbound shipments o Inspecting outbound freight o Communicating freight status and any problems to other stations and customers, and updating the system o Provide customer service o Ability to lift 50lbs o Able and willing to work on-call rotations and overtime when needed o Data entry of shipments into transportation management system o Domestic air and ground routing o Load/unload trucks, forklift experience is a must or ability to be certified o Assigning carriers and providing load tenders Requirements Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience in operations or a related field is preferred but not required. A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.
