Medical Cannabis Dispensary Inventory Manager

Job Description

Local Medical Cannabis Dispensary seeking an Inventory Manager. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of our dispensary's inventory management system. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate stock levels, ensuring compliance with state regulations, and optimizing inventory processes to maximize efficiency and profitability. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the complete inventory lifecycle, including receiving, tracking, and auditing
  • Ensure compliance with state track-and-trace systems (Metrc, etc.)
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconciliations
  • Forecast inventory needs based on sales data and market trends
  • Coordinate with vendors for product deliveries and returns
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to prevent loss
  • Train staff on proper inventory handling and documentation
  • Monitor product expiration dates and rotate stock accordingly
  • Generate and analyze inventory reports to identify discrepancies
  • Work with management to optimize product mix and purchasing decisions
  • Ensure accurate product labeling and packaging compliance
  • Maintain organized storage areas and proper environmental conditions
  • Assist with monthly and annual inventory counts
  • Document and report any inventory irregularities or compliance concerns
Qualifications Required:
  • 2+ years of inventory management experience, preferably in cannabis or retail
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and track-and-trace systems
  • 21 years or older
  • Strong understanding of cannabis regulations and compliance requirements
  • Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required state badges/permits for cannabis industry Compensation
