Position Description:
This unique role encompasses inventory management across Manufacturing and Cultivation departments and sub departments, while supporting the SalesMarketing team by ensuring timely and accurate weekly sales menu management and order fulfillment. The Inventory Manager works closely with department managers to ensure inventory is properly recorded, tracked and reconciled, while managing daily order fulfillment and delivery operations. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of audit procedures and inventory control implementation. They can communicate effectively and build rapport with team members, with a continuous improvement mentality. This position will be located on-site at our facility in Baker, LA. This position is full-time and reports to the Director of Supply Chain. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Maintain end to end inventory control for all raw cannabis products and finished goods. Ensure all inventory transactions are accurately and timely recorded in Metrc and department WIP files. Organize and lead monthly inventory reconciliation process with all departments. Lead randomized inventory spot checks using a systematic approach. Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and communicate findings to department leadership. Partner closely with Cultivation, Manufacturing, Compliance, Finance and Supply Chain teams to maintain accurate inventory movement and reporting. Support weekly sales menu management by ensuring product availability, inventory accuracy, pricing updates, and timely communication with Sales and Marketing teams. Backup Supply Chain Director on order fulfillment and distribution as necessary. Identify opportunities to streamline inventory processes, improve reporting capabilities, reduce waste, and enhance operational efficiency. Monitor inventory levels and work with leadership to forecast inventory needs to support production schedules, customer demand, and business objectives. Monitor inventory aging, product expiration dates, and product movement to minimize losses and ensure product quality standards are maintained. Review and approve inventory adjustments, transfers, dispensary sales, and other inventory-related transactions in accordance with company procedures. Develop and maintain inventory control procedures, work instructions, and best practices that improve accuracy, efficiency, and accountability. Serve as the primary point of contact for inventory-related issues, providing timely resolution and recommendations for continuous improvement. Oversee and organize monthly R&D process Perform other duties and special projects as assigned to support Supply Chain, Operations, and company initiatives.
Qualifications and Education Requirements :
High school diploma or GED required, Business Degree Preferred Must be at least 21 years of age or older Previous experience with inventory management in a production setting Strong attention to detail and accuracy in counting and recordkeeping Proficiency in MS Excel and ability to learn inventory management and sales systems including METRC and Apex Trading Ability to follow written procedures and compliance requirements Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Proven ability to lead, motivate, and guide a team to meet performance goals Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Dependable attendance and punctuality required
Position Shift:
