    Role:
    Own VulcanForms? end-to-end logistics and trade compliance function, including inbound and outbound freight, customs brokerage, carrier contracts, 3PL and warehousing relationships, hazardous-materials logistics, demurrage management, and international trade compliance. Reporting to the VP of Supply Chain, this leader will build and manage an initial team consisting of a Trade Compliance Specialist and Import/Export Coordinator, while developing the function to support the company?s continued growth.
    Key Responsibilities:
    • Develop and continuously improve VulcanForms? global logistics strategy, including inbound freight, outbound customer shipments, carrier relationships, and 3PL and warehousing partnerships
    • Lead freight-contract negotiations across parcel, LTL, FTL, air freight, and ocean transportation
    • Negotiate competitive rates, capacity commitments, service levels, and performance requirements
    • Own the trade compliance program, including HS/HTS classification, country-of-origin determinations, ITAR and EAR compliance, USTR filings, denied-party screening, and duty-drawback opportunities
    • Manage customs-broker relationships and ensure import and export declarations are accurate, timely, and compliant with applicable U.S. and international regulations
    • Develop and maintain tariff-impact models in partnership with Finance and Procurement
    • Quantify and mitigate tariff exposure across active and pipeline spend categories
    • Oversee hazardous-materials logistics, including titanium-powder handling, packaging compliance, and carrier certifications
    • Ensure compliance with applicable DOT, IATA, and IMDG requirements and maintain a zero-incident operating standard
    • Manage demurrage, detention, freight claims, and carrier-performance issues
    • Maintain KPI dashboards covering on-time delivery, freight cost per unit, claims, and resolution performance
    • Implement and manage a Transportation Management System or equivalent toolset to improve network visibility, optimization, and reporting
    • Build, lead, and develop the Logistics & Trade Compliance team, beginning with a Trade Compliance Specialist and Import/Export Coordinator
    • Create a clear staffing and capability-scaling plan aligned with business growth
    • Develop and deliver trade-compliance training, standard operating procedures, and audit-readiness programs across Supply Chain, Operations, and Engineering
    • Serve as VulcanForms? subject-matter expert and escalation point for logistics and trade-regulatory matters
    • Provide guidance on ITAR classifications, export-license applications, customs audits, and related regulatory requirements
    • Partner with senior leaders to establish compliant, cost-effective, and scalable logistics processes
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor?s degree required; Supply Chain, Logistics, International Business, or a related field preferred
    • Ten-plus years of progressive logistics and/or trade-compliance experience
    • Demonstrated experience building or leading a logistics function with significant freight-spend responsibility; \$50 million or more preferred
    • Deep expertise in U.S. export regulations, including ITAR and EAR, customs compliance, and international-trade requirements
    • Proven experience managing TMS implementations, carrier-contract negotiations, customs brokers, and 3PL performance programs
    • Experience with hazardous-materials logistics and DOT, IATA, and IMDG regulatory frameworks
    • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to build, develop, and retain a high-per Active Filters
