Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Parts Person to join our reputable auto body shop. As a Parts Person, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our business by managing and coordinating all aspects of the parts department. If you have a passion for the automotive industry, exceptional organizational skills, and a customer-focused mindset, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
Manage the parts department by overseeing inventory, ordering, and receiving parts and supplies Maintain accurate records of all parts transactions, including receipts, invoices, and returns Collaborate with the service technicians to identify and source the necessary parts for repairs and maintenance Process parts and returns efficiently and accurately Maintain a clean and organized parts department, ensuring that all parts are properly labeled and stored Utilize computer systems and software to track and manage parts inventory Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and product knowledge Assist with general administrative tasks as needed
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience in automotive parts management or a related field is preferred Excellent knowledge of automotive parts and their functions Strong organizational and time management skills Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping Exceptional customer service and communication skills Proficiency in computer systems and software related to parts management Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Physical ability to lift and move heavy parts (up to 50 lbs) when necessary Valid driver's license
