Job Description
Great inventory management is what keeps a warehouse running smoothly and customers getting the products they need. At Ferraro Foods, our Inventory Control team plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, monitoring product movement and expiration dates, resolving discrepancies, and helping ensure our warehouse operation stays efficient and organized. We re looking for an Inventory Control Manager who is analytical, detail-oriented, and ready to take ownership of all aspects of inventory control while partnering closely with our Warehouse and Purchasing teams. What You ll Be Working On Manage all aspects of the inventory control program, with a focus on inventory accuracy and reducing exposure to obsolete product Fully utilize our IDS/ERP system to manage and support inventory control activities Maintain and monitor expiration dates across all inventory Review and verify shipping and receiving documentation and resolve overages, shortages, and other discrepancies Partner closely with Purchasing to track and report inventory needs and communicate incoming material discrepancies Perform cycle counts, quarterly inventories, and year-end physical inventories Research, reconcile, and resolve inventory discrepancies Manage receipt and inventory reconciliation Complete inventory confirmations, adjustments, and discrepancy research Utilize WMS systems to accurately track and manage inventory Maintain accurate inventory records and support efficient day-to-day warehouse operations The Ingredients for Success Minimum of 2 years of warehouse or related experience Previous experience in a similar role within the food distribution industry preferred Working knowledge of inventory control systems, processes, WMS, and ERP systems Knowledge of SQF and HACCP Extensive experience with Excel and spreadsheet management Working knowledge of Microsoft Word Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent customer service, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Strong written communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with Warehouse, Purchasing, and other operational teams Flexibility to work extended hours and overtime as operational needs require Why You ll Love Working Here Take ownership of a critical function within our warehouse operation Work closely with Warehouse, Purchasing, and other operational teams Play a direct role in improving inventory accuracy and reducing product loss Join an established food distribution company with opportunities to grow within
