Job Description

BJ's Wholesale Club is seeking a Receiving Inventory Supervisor to lead inventory control and receiving operations in our high-volume warehouse club. This role oversees inbound freight, verifies shipments, ensures accurate inventory counts, and maintains stock integrity using warehouse and inventory management systems. The supervisor trains, schedules, and coaches team members, enforces safety and loss prevention standards, and coordinates with merchandising and operations to support product availability. Success in this role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, member-focused environment with opportunities for growth. Responsibilities Oversee daily receiving and inventory control operations in the warehouse club Verify incoming shipments, reconcile packing lists, and resolve discrepancies Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory and warehouse management systems Supervise, schedule, and train receiving and inventory team members Ensure compliance with safety, OSHA, and loss prevention standards on the dock and in storage areas Coordinate with merchandising and operations to support product availability and club readiness Monitor stock levels, conduct cycle counts, and support audits and variance investigations Optimize workflows to improve productivity, accuracy, and member service levels Required Skills Inventory management Warehouse operations Receiving and shipping procedures Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Data entry and reporting Microsoft Excel Forklift and material handling equipment operation Team leadership and scheduling Safety and OSHA compliance Cycle counting and audit support
