Job Description

Job Requirements Located in Largo in the heart of Prince George's County, our state-of-the-art regional medical center (University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center) will provide improved access to primary and ambulatory care services and serve as a tertiary care center for critically ill patients.

UM Capital Region Medical Center is a state-of-the-art teaching hospital supporting Prince George's County and the surrounding areas. The Medical Center was designed from the ground up for patient safety and patient experience.
Responsibilities:
1. The Equipment Materials Specialist monitors the Department's service schedule to ensure availability of adequate Code Cart supplies. 2. Orders various supplies and equipment as needed 3. Assists with arranging for loans of supplies from other hospitals and vendors as needed 4. In collaboration with Materials Management, develops and maintains inventory and par levels 5. Works closely with System Leadership to manage supplies in a fiscally thoughtful way 6. Facilitates standardization of supplies, services, and equipment on an ongoing basis 7. Monitors purchase request(s) for accuracy and quantity 8. Collects packing slips and sends to materials management on a timely basis 9. Identifies and addresses invoice discrepancies 10. Processes requisition orders and procures nonstock supplies and equipment according to budgetary guidelines and with approval of department leadership. 11. Assists in maintaining accuracy of departmental charge masters and service masters. 12. All receiving responsibilities. 13. Mail processing 14. Performs other related work as assigned. Work Experience Work Experience 5 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management required, healthcare setting experience preferred; 7 or more years of experience preferred. Must have demonstrated knowledge of medical supplies and procedures. Experience in budgeting, and accounting highly desired.
Education:
High school diploma required with supplemental technical course in procurement and supply management required; Associates Degree preferred. Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills and basic PowerPoint skills required. Benefits All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
