Description:
St. Mary's College of Maryland at Historic St. Mary's City is accepting resumes for the position of Assistant Supervisor of the Mailroom. This position supervises the receiving and distribution of mail, supplies, inventory, and central stores supplies. Person in this position reports to and takes instruction from the Office Manager in the Physical Plant or any other designated higher Physical Plant Staff member. Person will also provide some oversight of warehouse facility for janitorial, office and general supplies, office furniture and equipment and conducting a central stores operation with inventory control. Employee must be punctual and dependable. The annual salary range is $35,570-$38,000, depending on qualifications and experience. St. Mary's College of Maryland, the National Public honors College, is in Historic St. Mary's City, 70 miles southeast of Washington, D.C. St. Mary's College is one of the nation's best public liberal arts colleges - ranked near the top in U.S. News & World Report and a Best Value for instate and out-of-state students. Non-sectarian since its founding, the college with its scenic waterfront campus is primarily undergraduate and residential, with a diverse coeducational student body numbering approximately 1600. Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED equivalent. Experience in inventory, mailroom, record keeping, shipping or receiving a plus but not required. Must possess a valid Maryland driver's license. Must have the ability to operate computers and a general knowledge of some software applications. Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
