Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Estimator/Parts Specialist to join our automotive service team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately estimating vehicle repair costs, sourcing and managing parts, and ensuring seamless communication between customers, technicians, and suppliers. Duties Prepare precise vehicle repair estimates using estimating software and automotive diagnostics tools, covering collision repair, mechanical repairs, and routine maintenance such as oil changes and tire services Source, order, and manage parts inventory efficiently to support repair timelines and customer satisfaction Communicate clearly with clients about repair procedures, costs, and available options; upsell additional services when appropriate to enhance customer value Collaborate with technicians to review repair plans, ensure accuracy of estimates, and facilitate smooth workflow Maintain detailed records of all estimates, parts orders, and client interactions for transparency and future reference Assist in service writing by documenting vehicle conditions, repairs needed, and customer requests with clarity and professionalism Handle cash transactions accurately during parts sales or service payments while maintaining integrity in all financial dealings Experience Proven experience in auto estimating or auto service management within a dealership or collision repair environment Strong mechanic background with hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics, transmissions, brake repair, suspension systems, shocks & struts, air brake systems, alignment services, diesel engine repair, and other mechanical repairs Familiarity with estimating software such as CCC ONE or Mitchell is highly desirable Knowledge of automotive repair processes including oil changes, tire services, auto body repairs, and collision damage assessment Excellent client communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence and upselling techniques Prior experience working with dealership operations or auto service centers is preferred Ability to interpret technical manuals and mechanical diagrams effectively Valid driver's license with a clean driving record to support parts delivery or vehicle inspections as needed Join us to be part of a passionate team dedicated to delivering outstanding automotive solutions!
