Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Counter Sales Representative/Parts Manager Trainee to join our driveshaft manufacturing team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in driveshaft diagnostics, parts management, and customer service while working in a fast-paced retail environment. As a key point of contact for customers, you will assist with parts selection, provide technical advice, and support inventory control. This position is ideal for individuals eager to grow into a Parts Manager role, with comprehensive training and mentorship provided. Your enthusiasm, organizational skills, and mechanical knowledge will drive success in this energetic role. Duties Assist customers in identifying and selecting driveshaft parts and specing out complete driveshaft assemblies Provide technical support on driveshaft fitment, function and repair Process sales transactions efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service and phone etiquette Package and process out of town orders for shipment Quickly learn parts ordering system Develop long term realtionship with vendors and large national/international repeat customers Support stock organization, stocking shelves, and maintaining a clean and organized parts department Build strong customer relationships through effective communication, product knowledge, and personalized service Collaborate with team members to ensure timely order fulfillment and inventory control Assist in driveshaft parts identification for use in driveshaft manufacturing and repair by our shop employees Handle cashing out customers accurately, including cash handling and retail math calculations Previous experience in automotive parts and/or heavy duty truck parts is required Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases Familiarity with POS/Inventory Management software such as Quickbooks, Sage50 or Peachtree Accounting is advantageous Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions and inventory counts Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail in stock management and order processing Customer service-oriented mindset with strong negotiation skills to assist customers effectively Mechanical troubleshooting skills to assist with driveshaft diagnostics when necessary We're committed to fostering growth through training, supporting your career development from Counter Sales Representative to Parts Manager.
