Job Description

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for managing the Materials function for the Portland Plant which includes scheduling material, inventory control, customer service, shipping, stock handling and storage.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
(Essential functions) Support Manufacturing with the scheduling of all production items Manage the inventory and material control plans Establish short and long range production plans for the plant Manage the plant customer service functions Manage material handling and storage Administer plant traffic/distribution requirements and packaging requirements Act as liaison between plant, division and customers on issues regarding schedules and delivery performance Comply with all Company policies Promote and ensure compliance with all established health & safety procedures and practices
Additional Responsibilities:
Conduct annual physical inventory and cycle count process Perform occasional plant visits to customers/vendors Insure quality management system compliance for department
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field preferred Three - five years experience in materials related field SAP experience preferred Related experience in automotive/JIT environment
NAPM/APICS
