This is a "working manager" role where you will be dividing your time between managing shop inventory, operating machinery, maintaining our fleet , and making local deliveries to our job site crew leaders. The ideal candidate ensures our field teams always have the materials they need, our warehouse runs like clockwork, and company assets are perfectly maintained. Duties Inventory & Order Management Take shop inventory: Conduct routine physical counts and maintain accurate stock logs. Logistics & Field Delivery On-time delivery: Safely transport and unload material directly to field crew leaders at active job sites.
Material pickup:
Retrieve orders from local suppliers and distributors efficiently.
Logistics oversight:
Streamline routes to maximize daily efficiency and decrease downtime. Warehouse Operations & Equipment Hi-Lo operation: Safely operate a forklift (Hi-Lo) to load/unload shipments and organize high-density racking.
Daily operations:
Oversee the shop layout, keeping the warehouse clean, safe, and highly efficient. Safety & compliance: Enforce OSHA safety guidelines throughout the facility.
Fleet Management Vehicle upkeep:
Manage the schedule for routine inspections and maintenance (oil changes, brakes, tires) for all company trucks and trailers.
Compliance logs:
Keep company fleet documentation, registrations, and service records strictly organized.
Material ordering:
Anticipate supply needs, place orders, and coordinate with vendors to prevent shortages. Kitting & staging: Review upcoming schedules to pick and stage materials for active projects.
Requirements Experience:
2-4 years of experience in warehouse management, material handling, or delivery logistics.
Licensing:
Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record ( Chauffeur's license preferred/needed).
Equipment Certification:
Proven experience and certification operating a Hi-Lo/Forklift .
Physical Stamina:
Ability to lift up to 50-75 lbs regularly and work in varied weather conditions.
