Priority maintains a diversified business model providing service to both municipal solid-waste, construction & demolition customers. Our biggest priority is providing outstanding customer service & revolutionizing the industry through the use of the latest technology. Job Purpose As a Logistics Manager based out of Sterling Heights, MI, you will lead a team of drivers while coordinating daily logistics operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality waste collection services. Acting as a liaison between drivers, customers, and internal teams, you will provide real-time support, oversee route performance, and drive continuous improvements to enhance both the driver and customer experience. Duties and Responsibilities Duties include but are not limited to: Supervise and support a team of drivers, including daily oversight, coaching, and performance management Assign and adjust routes and carrier responsibilities to ensure efficient service delivery Provide real-time support to drivers throughout their routes, resolving service, safety, and equipment issues Serve as the escalation point for customer concerns, ensuring timely and effective resolution Communicate with drivers and internal teams via phone, Microsoft Teams chat, and video Collaborate with logistics, customer service, and quality teams to drive service excellence Track, trace, and update the status of daily waste removal routes using internal systems Monitor route performance and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost savings Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements Assist with onboarding and training of new drivers and provide ongoing coaching Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and implement operational enhancements Monitor waste storage areas, documentation, equipment, and procedures from the Sterling Heights yard The successful candidate profile includes: 2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or a related field; supervisory experience required Strong knowledge of routing, dispatch, and fleet operations Proven leadership, communication, and team development skills Ability to problem-solve, prioritize, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office and logistics/route management systems Customer-focused with strong organizational and time management abilities At Priority Waste, there are fundamental qualities that we look for in all our employees: People who excel in a collaborative environment (team players) A willingness to do whatever the situation calls for An excitement to be part of a growing organization A genuine understanding that the quality of your work has a direct impact on the company's success
