Full-Time Join One of Kansas City's Fastest Growing Automotive Companies TNS Autosports is expanding, and we're looking for an experienced Inventory Acquisition Manager to lead our vehicle purchasing efforts. This is not an entry-level buying position—we're looking for someone who understands the used car market, knows how to source profitable inventory, and can build relationships that keep quality vehicles flowing into our dealership. What You'll Do As our Inventory Acquisition Manager, you'll be responsible for maintaining a profitable, fast-turning inventory while working closely with ownership, sales, and service. Responsibilities Purchase quality inventory from auctions including Manheim, ADESA, and independent auctions Buy vehicles directly from private sellers Appraise customer trade-ins accurately Build relationships with wholesalers, dealers, and fleet accounts Monitor market trends and vehicle values using industry tools Negotiate vehicle purchases to maximize profitability Maintain inventory levels based on dealership sales goals Coordinate vehicle transportation and logistics Work with the service department to manage reconditioning costs and turnaround times Price incoming inventory competitively for retail Monitor aging inventory and develop exit strategies for slow-moving vehicles Track acquisition performance and inventory metrics What We're Looking For Minimum 3 years of dealership vehicle buying or inventory management experience Strong knowledge of vehicle values and current market trends Experience purchasing at dealer auctions Ability to accurately appraise trades and estimate reconditioning costs Strong negotiation and communication skills Highly organized and self-motivated Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Preferred Experience vAuto ACV Manheim Marketplace Dealer auctions Independent dealership experience Inventory management software CRM experience Compensation & Benefits We reward performance and provide significant earning potential.
