Automotive Parts ManagerClement Reconditioning & Service Center Join one of the region's fastest-growing automotive reconditioning operations. Clement Reconditioning & Service Center is seeking an experienced, driven, and highly organized Automotive Parts Manager to lead our high-volume parts operation. This position is critical to the success of our vehicle reconditioning process by ensuring the right parts are available at the right time to keep vehicles moving efficiently through inspection, service, repair, and delivery to our dealerships. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced dealership or reconditioning environment, understands inventory control and vendor relationships, and is passionate about building an efficient operation while leading a high-performing team. Responsibilities Lead the daily operations of the Parts Department within our high-volume automotive reconditioning center. Manage inventory levels to support mechanical repairs, inspections, maintenance, and vehicle reconditioning while minimizing obsolescence and excess inventory. Source and procure OEM and aftermarket parts through multiple vendors while maintaining cost-effective purchasing practices. Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, vendors, and local suppliers to ensure timely delivery and competitive pricing. Monitor special orders and backorders to minimize vehicle downtime and keep inventory flowing through the reconditioning process. Work closely with Service Advisors, Technicians, Recon Coordinators, and Production Managers to prioritize vehicle needs and maximize production efficiency. Utilize dealership management systems and inventory software to maintain accurate inventory records, purchase orders, receiving, returns, and warranty parts processing. Establish inventory controls including cycle counts, annual physical inventories, and parts stocking strategies. Analyze inventory turns, gross profit, fill rates, and purchasing trends while implementing continuous improvement initiatives. Supervise, coach, and develop Parts Department employees while creating a positive, accountable, and team-oriented culture. Ensure all shipping, receiving, returns, cores, hazardous materials, and warranty parts are processed accurately and in compliance with company procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe parts department that supports efficient workflow throughout the reconditioning center. Qualifications Minimum of 3-5 years of automotive parts management experience , preferably within a dealership, automotive reconditioning center, or large independent repair facility. Strong understanding of OEM and aftermarket automotive parts. Experience managing inventory in a fast-paced, high-volume operation. Working knowledge of dealership management systems (Dealertrack, CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Tekion, or similar). Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proven ability to manage purchasing, inventory levels, vendor relationships, and departmental profitability. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining exceptional attention to detail. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and inventory management software. Automotive mechanical knowledge is strongly preferred. $60,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
