After-Hours Logistics Specialist Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced After-Hours Logistics Professional to oversee and coordinate the secure, efficient transportation of high-value and high-visibility goods outside of standard business hours. This role requires exceptional situational awareness, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to manage time-sensitive shipments in dynamic and high-pressure environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics operations, risk mitigation, and real-time decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and monitor after-hours transportation activities for high-value and high-profile shipments. Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, carriers, clients, and internal teams during non-business hours. Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to theft, delays, route deviations, or security concerns. Track shipments in real time using GPS and logistics software, ensuring adherence to schedules and security protocols. Respond rapidly to incidents, including route disruptions, equipment failures, or security breaches. Maintain detailed logs and documentation of all after-hours activities, incidents, and communications. Collaborate with security teams, law enforcement, and vendors when necessary to ensure cargo safety. Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, and regulatory standards. SOP's Required Qualifications:

3-5+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations, with a focus on high-value cargo. Proven experience managing shipments during after-hours or overnight operations. Strong understanding of transportation security protocols and risk management practices. Experience with GPS tracking systems, TMS (Transportation Management Systems), and communication tools. Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure in fast-paced environments. Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with high-value goods such as electronics, pharmaceuticals, luxury items, or sensitive materials. Background in freight brokerage, dispatch, or carrier management. Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance standards. Familiarity with incident response procedures and escalation protocols.
