Organization Grid Technologies Business Unit Switchgears Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Professional / Experienced A Snapshot of Your Day As an Inventory Control Lead, you will serve as the lead for inventory accuracy, inventory controls, and warehouse inventory performance. You will coordinate inventory management activities, investigate inventory discrepancies, support continuous improvement efforts, and help ensure the accuracy of inventory data across warehouse and ERP systems. Working closely with Warehouse Operations, Procurement, Production Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, and Finance, you will support solutions that improve inventory accuracy, material availability, storage utilization, operational efficiency, and overall warehouse performance. You will also provide operational support and backup coverage for warehouse supervision as needed. How You'll Make an Impact Coordinate daily, weekly, monthly, and annual inventory accuracy activities, including cycle counts, physical inventories, and audit support. Assist with annual physical inventories, internal audits, financial audits, and inventory valuation activities. Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to improve inventory accuracy and transaction integrity. Monitor and report key inventory performance indicators including inventory accuracy, cycle count compliance, inventory turns, stockouts, aging inventory, and excess and obsolete inventory. Prepare inventory reports, dashboards, and operational updates to support site leadership decision-making. Partner with warehouse operations teams to resolve receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, and transaction-related issues impacting inventory accuracy. Provide backup support for warehouse supervision and assist with operational coordination when needed. Identify process improvement opportunities affecting inventory performance and support sustainable corrective actions. Support inventory optimization initiatives that improve material availability, reduce excess inventory, and maximize warehouse storage utilization. Review warehouse material flow and storage utilization to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements. Maintain inventory control procedures, work instructions, and training materials to support process consistency and compliance. Support ERP/WMS system improvements and inventory process enhancements that strengthen inventory visibility and reporting capabilities . What you bring Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Logistics, Analytics, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered 5+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, supply chain management, materials management, or inventory analysis within a manufacturing environment Advanced knowledge of inventory management principles, inventory controls, cycle counting methodologies, inventory reconciliation, and warehouse operations Demonstrated experience utilizing ERP and WMS systems (SAP preferred) to manage inventory transactions, inventory reporting, and inventory control processes Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proven experience performing root cause analysis and implementing process improvements Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, data analysis, and reporting tools
