Every transmission we build depends on having the right parts in the right place at the right time. We're looking for an experienced leader to manage our Parts Department and the entire operation behind it. This is much more than an inventory position. You'll oversee approximately $20 million in inventory, lead a team of 15 employees, direct purchasing and inventory strategy, and ensure our production operation has everything it needs to keep moving. You'll work closely with Operations, Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and Logistics to improve inventory performance, strengthen the supply chain, and build a high-performing department. What You'll Be Responsible For Lead all daily operations of the Parts Department. Manage approximately $20 million in inventory across all transmission product lines. Develop purchasing strategies that balance inventory investment with production demand. Ensure uninterrupted material availability for production while minimizing excess inventory. Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 15 Parts Department employees. Establish accountability through performance metrics, coaching, and continuous improvement. Improve inventory accuracy through cycle counting, auditing, root cause analysis, and process improvements. Analyze inventory usage, demand trends, lead times, and supplier performance to optimize inventory levels. Work closely with Operations and Production to anticipate demand and support changing production schedules. Partner with Engineering to manage new product introductions and parts changes. Evaluate suppliers and purchasing decisions to improve cost, quality, and service. Drive Lean initiatives that improve workflow, reduce waste, and increase efficiency. Develop department budgets, staffing plans, and inventory strategies. Monitor KPIs including inventory accuracy, inventory turns, fill rates, shortages, supplier performance, and obsolete inventory. Foster a culture built around accountability, teamwork, quality, and continuous improvement. What We're Looking For Leadership experience managing inventory, purchasing, materials, supply chain, or manufacturing operations. Experience leading and developing employees. Strong understanding of inventory planning, forecasting, purchasing, and supply chain management. Experience with ERP systems and inventory management software. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Comfortable making data-driven business decisions. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments. Manufacturing experience preferred. Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
