This role develops and executes supply chain strategies that support operational excellence, cost efficiency, customer satisfaction, and business growth. The Supply Chain Director collaborates closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless flow of materials and finished goods throughout the manufacturing organization. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with company goals and operational objectives. Lead all supply chain functions, including sourcing, procurement, demand planning, inventory management, production planning, warehousing, and logistics. Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships while negotiating contracts, pricing, and service agreements. Drive inventory optimization initiatives to balance customer service levels and working capital objectives. Oversee demand forecasting and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes to ensure alignment between customer demand and production capacity. Monitor and improve key supply chain performance metrics, including inventory turnover, on-time delivery, forecast accuracy, and supplier performance. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels across the supply chain. Lead supply chain risk management initiatives, including contingency planning and supplier diversification strategies. Collaborate with manufacturing, operations, finance, sales, quality, and engineering teams to support business objectives. Ensure material availability to support production schedules and customer commitments. Manage transportation, distribution, and warehousing operations to optimize cost and service performance. Utilize ERP and supply chain planning systems to improve visibility, reporting, and decision-making. Develop and manage departmental budgets and cost-reduction initiatives. Lead, mentor, and develop supply chain team members, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards. QualificationsEducation Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field. Master's degree (MBA or related field) preferred. Experience 10+ years of progressive supply chain experience within a manufacturing environment. 5+ years of leadership experience managing supply chain teams and operations. Proven experience overseeing procurement, planning, inventory management, logistics, and supplier management. Experience leading S&OP and demand planning processes. Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms. Skills and Competencies Strong knowledge of end-to-end supply chain management principles. Expertise in inventory management, demand forecasting, procurement, logistics, and production planning. Advanced analytical and strategic planning skills. Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and cost-reduction initiatives. Excellent leadership, coaching, and team development abilities. Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
