Job Description

Atlantic Health Overlook Medical Center Surgical Support Department is searching for a Part Time Materials Management Associate. The candidate in this position will be responsible for assisting in the materials management of the assigned department. In addition, coordinate purchasing, shipping, receiving and inventory control of materials, and be responsible for safe and proper storage of materials, process intermediates, products and general manufacturing supplies. The candidate in this position should have a basic working knowledge of Excel, and be able to be proactive in inventory control. This position may require the candidate to enter the Operating Room.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Performs clerical duties associated with materials management. 2. Receives, stocks, and distributes materials, supplies, and equipment. 3. Stores and labels materials in an orderly manner. 4. Drafts reports regarding production progress, inventory levels, and materials costs. Inspects stock items for defects and reports all instances of damage to supervisors. 5. Compares inventory records with physical counts of stock to ensure accuracy, reporting discrepancies when they arise. 6. Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. 7. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent. 2. 0-2 years of experience working in Material Handling or relevant area is preferred
Preferred:
1. Bachelor's degree in Logistics or relevant area.
