Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE
The Materials Management Lead position is responsible for acting as the official buying agent for the hospital and clinics by procuring inventory and non-stock materials. This position provides the hospital with the highest quality products and equipment available, while utilizing the group's purchasing powers to secure best pricing practices. Maintains an ample supply of inventory on-hand and purchases products in a timely manner. Participates in the yearly physical inventory. Examines trends, sales records and inventory levels of current stock. Examines foreign and domestic suppliers and keeps up-to-date with potential changes that may affect the supply and demand for products and materials.
MINIMUM MANDATORY
qualifications
Experience:
Minimum of (3) years experience in supply chain
Education:
High School Diploma Mandatory Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Qualifications:
Critical thinker with attention to detail when selecting items. Can utilize leadership skills for decision-making. Fluent product knowledge and strong contacts in the field. Strong skills as a collaborator and problem solver and strive for continuous improvement Knowledge of provider schedule management and utilization. Knowledge of the front-end revenue cycle process, including patient registration, government and commercial insurance processes. Preferred qualifications Three (3) years experience in supply chain Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in business, business administration or computer science
