Full-Time; weekends, holidays, and overtime may be required based on operational needs About the Position WCD Warehouse is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Inventory Control Supervisor to oversee inventory accuracy, product movement, cycle counting, warehouse organization, and inventory control processes within a fast-paced distribution center. The Inventory Control Supervisor will lead inventory control activities, investigate discrepancies, maintain accurate inventory records, and work closely with warehouse operations, receiving, shipping, and management to ensure inventory is properly accounted for throughout the facility. The ideal candidate is an organized and analytical leader with strong warehouse experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to identify discrepancies, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily inventory control operations . Lead and train inventory control employees and assign daily responsibilities. Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure system inventory matches physical inventory. Conduct and oversee cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory audits . Investigate inventory discrepancies, shortages, overages, misplacements, and product variances. Research inventory transactions and identify the root cause of discrepancies. Coordinate with receiving, shipping, picking, put-away, and warehouse operations to maintain inventory accuracy. Monitor product movement throughout the warehouse to ensure transactions are properly recorded. Verify receiving quantities and product information against documentation and system records. Monitor inventory locations and ensure products are stored in the correct designated locations. Identify and resolve inventory that is misplaced, damaged, expired, or incorrectly identified. Maintain accurate records of inventory adjustments and discrepancies. Review inventory reports and identify trends requiring corrective action. Work with management to establish and maintain inventory control procedures. Develop and implement processes to improve inventory accuracy and reduce inventory loss. Assist with warehouse organization and space utilization. Ensure proper product rotation and inventory handling procedures are followed. Communicate inventory issues and operational concerns to warehouse management. Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and records related to inventory control. Support internal and external inventory audits as required. Assist with investigations involving inventory loss, damage, or discrepancies. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Team Leadership & Training Supervise, coach, and develop inventory control employees. Train employees on inventory procedures, warehouse systems, counting processes, and company policies. Establish daily priorities and assign work based on operational needs. Monitor employee performance and provide feedback when necessary. Promote teamwork, accountability, accuracy, and attention to detail. Ensure employees follow established safety and inventory control procedures. Inventory Accuracy & Control The Inventory Control Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining high levels of inventory accuracy by: Monitoring inventory transactions from receiving through shipping . Conducting regular cycle counts and reconciliation activities. Investigating variances between physical and system inventory. Reviewing inventory adjustments for accuracy and proper authorization. Identifying recurring discrepancies and implementing corrective actions. Monitoring inventory aging and product rotation when applicable. Ensuring inventory is properly labeled, located, and organized. Working with warehouse teams to prevent picking, receiving, put-away, and shipping errors. Loss Prevention Identify inventory trends that may contribute to product loss. Investigate unexplained shortages, overages, damages, and inventory discrepancies. Work with management to reduce product loss and inventory shrinkage. Monitor inventory handling procedures and recommend improvements. Ensure inventory adjustments are properly documented and supported. Assist with investigations involving damaged or missing merchandise. Support company asset protection and loss prevention initiatives. Warehouse Operations Work closely with receiving and shipping departments to maintain accurate inventory transactions. Support proper receiving, put-away, picking, consolidation, and shipping procedures. Monitor warehouse locations and product organization. Assist with resolving operational issues that affect inventory accuracy. Coordinate with warehouse supervisors to correct inventory-related issues. Maintain awareness of warehouse workflow and how operational activities affect inventory. Qualifications Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, logistics, or distribution . Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred. Strong understanding of inventory control principles and warehouse processes. Experience with cycle counting and inventory reconciliation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to investigate discrepancies and identify root causes. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Strong computer and data-entry skills. Experience with warehouse management systems or inventory software preferred. Forklift or material-handling equipment experience preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Inventory Management Systems RF scanners and handheld devices Cycle counting Physical inventories Inventory reconciliation Shipping and receiving systems Barcode scanning Excel and Microsoft Office Food distribution or other high-volume distribution environments Warehouse logistics and supply chain operations Performance Expectations The Inventory Control Supervisor is expected to maintain a strong focus on inventory accuracy, accountability, productivity, and continuous improvement .

The employee may regularly work around: Forklifts Reach trucks Pallet jacks Loading and unloading operations Warehouse traffic Heavy equipment Varying temperatures Elevated storage areas High-volume inventory movement The Inventory Control Supervisor must be able to safely navigate the warehouse while performing inventory inspections, counts, audits, and supervisory responsibilities. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to move throughout the warehouse during the workday. Ability to bend, reach, climb stairs, and access inventory locations when necessary. Ability to lift and/or move materials within the requirements of the position. Ability to safely work around forklifts and other warehouse equipment. Ability to work at a computer for extended periods when completing reports and inventory research.
