Role:
- Universal Perfumes is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Manager to oversee inventory accuracy, organization, and control within our warehouse operations.
This individual will be responsible for ensuring physical inventory is accurately reflected across our WMS and Microsoft Dynamics GP systems while identifying and resolving inventory discrepancies. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, hands-on, and comfortable working directly on the warehouse floor in a fast-paced, high-volume distribution environment.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate physical and system inventory across the warehouse.
- Monitor and reconcile inventory between WMS and Microsoft Dynamics GP.
- Identify inventory discrepancies and conduct cycle counts to investigate and resolve variances.
- Develop and manage a structured cycle-count program covering all SKUs and warehouse locations.
- Ensure inventory is properly assigned to locations and license plates within the WMS.
- Oversee physical and systematic inventory transfers and movements.
- Maintain proper inventory slotting and logical product organization throughout the warehouse.
- Consolidate inventory to minimize unnecessary product dispersion across multiple locations.
- Identify SKUs and warehouse locations with recurring or significant discrepancies.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies to determine root causes, including tracing inventory movements and transactions when necessary.
- Partner with department leaders to correct processes contributing to inventory inaccuracies.
- Implement corrective actions designed to reduce recurring inventory discrepancies.
- Assist warehouse employees with proper inventory tracking, transfers, movements, and WMS procedures.
- Support department leaders with inventory relocation and organization during peak and seasonal periods.
- Promote inventory-control procedures and accountability throughout warehouse operations.
Key Performance Expectations The Inventory Control Manager will be accountable for maintaining 99%+ inventory accuracy, completing scheduled cycle counts, reducing recurring discrepancies, maintaining accurate license plate and location assignments, and ensuring inventory movements are properly reflected within the system.

- 3-5+ years of inventory control, warehouse inventory, or distribution experience.
- Previous experience as an Inventory Manager or Inventory Control Manager preferred.
- Strong WMS experience required.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, location control, and warehouse inventory movements.
- Ability to investigate discrepancies and determine root causes.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working both at a computer and directly on the warehouse floor.
- Ability to work collaboratively with warehouse and department leadership.
- Experience in a high-volume distribution environment preferred.
- Spanish-speaking / bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Compensation:
- $80,000-$100,000 annually, depending on experience.
