Job Description

Procurement Lead / Supply Chain Lead | $90,000-$130,000 | Buffalo area Are you a procurement professional who's built something from the ground up — not just maintained the status quo? Our client, a growing manufacturer in the Buffalo area, is looking for a Procurement - Supply Chain Lead to create and own a centralized procurement and inventory function from the inside out. This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution. What You'll Do You'll build the systems, lead the team, and drive the results. That means developing inventory planning strategies (min/max, safety stock, lead times), ensuring materials are always available to keep production running, and managing supplier relationships for performance, cost, and reliability. You'll lead cost reduction and consolidation initiatives, optimize ERP-driven workflows, and grow a small procurement team around you. What You Bring Solid background in manufacturing procurement or supply chain Strong ERP/MRP experience — NetSuite, SAP, or similar Proven track record in inventory optimization and supplier negotiations Experience in engineered or custom manufacturing is a plus Most importantly: you've built procurement systems, not just used them Why This Role This isn't a "maintain and report" position. You'll have real ownership, real resources, and a leadership team that wants procurement to be a competitive advantage. If you're ready to put your fingerprints on something meaningful, this is your opportunity. Submit your resume to wnyjobs@hiresapphire.com for immediate consideration.
