The customer organization is responsible for capability development and development planning. The Logistics Munitions Manager Senior will work with internal and external stakeholders to plan, execute, assess, and document deliverables for tactical, ground-based kinetic and non-kinetic systems to defend air bases. This role will be expected to provide expert leadership in munitions lifecycle management, munitions systems transportation and movement, integrated logistics support, munitions storage, explosive safety, strategic munition systems planning, munition systems policy, site-activation and bed-down, and acquisition program coordination. This position merges high-level munitions operational knowledge with technical expertise in stockpile management, hazardous materials/munitions transport, and munitions integration in a joint environment. This position will be co-located with the customer at
WPAFB, OH.
This is an onsite position within the customer spaces. Some travel is expected (up to 25%).
Responsibilities:
Duties to be independently executed include but are not limited to: Serve as munitions logistics advisory lead for high-visibility and extremely time critical programs. Coordinate munitions movement with MAJCOMs and define requirements for emplacing new weapons capabilities. Provide logistics planning, analysis, assessment, requirements verification, technical writing and review of documentation, and integration for kinetic and non-kinetic capabilities within the ABMS portfolio during the acquisition lifecycle. Advise on
AFMAN 91-201
explosive safety standards and hazard mitigation for new weapon system. Support integration activities for weapons systems into the larger ABMS ecosphere. Assess programs against the 12 integrated product support elements. Evaluate munition systems design and provide sustainment engineering advice on testing, reliability, availability, and maintainability to meet user requirements in mission capability and monitor system performance for improvements. Develop, assess, evaluate, and coordinate munition logistics planning documents to implement a logistics life cycle integrated product support strategy for system fielding and support program milestones. Supports and advises government program managers through all phases of acquisition logistics planning. Perform independent work to provide munition logistics and support system effectiveness analysis, studies, and evaluations. Support Configuration Management (CM) reviews to ensure munition logistics data is properly maintained. Develop and maintain munition system maintenance plans, supportability analyses, maintenance tasks, and Level of Repair Analysis (LORA). Regularly participate in and facilitate integration/schedule/logistics forums for existing and emerging programs such as logistics working groups and integrated logistics support management teams. Support transition of new kinetic and non-kinetic systems to operations, sustainment activities, and assess operations and maintenance readiness for program depot activation, fielding and operational acceptance decisions. Perform independent work to provide munition logistics and support system effectiveness analysis, studies, and evaluations. Work collaboratively with teammates in a joint environment to provide advice and to assist with resolution of system challenges. Draft, review, and edit final program reports, documents, and briefings. Communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy. Brief government senior leaders. Coordinate with external agencies to include operational units, higher headquarters, Combatant Command (COCOM) staff, other acquisition activities, research and development functions, and other stakeholders. This will include producing, tracking, coordinating all agreements and documentation necessary to transition seamlessly into a framework for organizing, training, and equipping. Aid in development of Monthly Status Report on all efforts including updates on major activities, challenges, opportunities, deliverables, and subcontractor performance.
Required Qualifications:
18+ years of relevant munitions logistics experience. Comprehensive understanding of AF Instruction 23-101, Materiel Management. Strong oral and written communication skills with experience presenting at conferences, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, and leading workshops. Minimum 3 years munitions-related MAJCOM, Joint Staff, or Air Staff experience. Minimum 2 years supporting munitions acquisition PMOs or engineering agencies. Experience managing international shipments of Class 1.1-1.4 explosive materials. Well versed in the following policies: o

Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required in Logistics, Management, or related field. Master's degree (Highly Desired) Graduate of Air Force Combat Ammunition Center (AFCOMAC) (Highly Desired) DAU Life Cycle Logistics Foundational Certification (Desired)
Clearance Requirements:
Must possess an active DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI and SAP eligibility. U.S. Citizenship is required. #
