Job Description
Gilson Company, Inc. is currently searching for an Inventory and Shipping Manager to join our growing team. Candidates need to be reliable, professional and enjoy a casual, family owned, and rewarding environment.
Responsibilities:
The Inventory and Shipping Manager is responsible for coordinating all warehouse and distribution operations to ensure efficient storage, inventory management and delivery of products. o Manage all inventory control operations, including inventory accuracy, cycle counting, physical inventory and inventory reconciliation. o Develop and implement inventory control policies, procedures, and best practices. o Lead and supervise inventory control specialists and warehouse personnel. o Resolve shipping, inventory, and customer service issues promptly o Evaluate warehouse equipment, technology, and processes to improve operational performance. o Collaborate with various departments such as purchasing, production, and manufacturing to ensure operational business needs are met. Organizing and optimizing warehouse space to ensure the proper storage and handling of inventory. Oversee daily inventory transactions, adjustments, and reconciliations. Collecting, verifying, analyzing and presenting financial information related to inventory.Qualifications:
o 3+ years of distribution, inventory or warehouse operations experience. o A mindset focused on continuous improvement that involves constantly seeking ways to enhance inventory processes thus reducing/eliminating shrinkage o Effective at problem solving and the ability to make sensible decisions. o Proficiency in relevant software and systems; previous NetSuite experience is a plus. o Efficient time management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks. o Excellent attention to detail. o Skilled communicator verbally and electronically. o The ability to stand, use ladders, lift items up to 50lbs, and bend for extended periods. o Previous forklift experience.
