Production & Inventory Control Supervisor

Job Description

Production & Inventory Control Supervisor Are you a proactive manufacturing professional with a passion for production planning, inventory control, and continuous improvement? We are seeking a Production & Inventory Control Supervisor to lead production scheduling, inventory management, and operational planning activities that support on-time customer delivery and efficient manufacturing operations. In this role, you will collaborate with Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams to ensure material availability, inventory accuracy, and production efficiency while helping drive ERP integration and process improvements throughout the organization. What You'll Do Production Planning & Scheduling Develop and manage production schedules to meet customer requirements. Coordinate production priorities to support delivery commitments. Monitor production performance and adjust schedules as needed to maintain efficiency. Inventory Management & Control Monitor inventory levels and maintain appropriate stock quantities. Lead inventory control processes to ensure accuracy and accountability. Oversee cycle counts, inventory reconciliations, and inventory accuracy initiatives. Maintain accurate inventory records and material usage data. Supervise shipping and receiving activities to ensure accurate material movement and inventory transactions. Material Planning & Coordination Partner with Purchasing to ensure timely material availability. Support forecasting activities to align inventory with production requirements. Identify and resolve material shortages that could impact production schedules. Process Improvement & ERP Support Analyze production and inventory data to identify improvement opportunities. Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. Assist with ERP implementation, integration, and expansion within Operations. Improve digital production control workflows to increase visibility, accuracy, and efficiency. Promote process standardization and operational excellence. Leadership & Collaboration Supervise and develop production planning and inventory control personnel. Collaborate across Operations, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and other functional teams. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety requirements. What We're Looking ForQualifications 3 to 5 years of experience in production planning, inventory control, or a related manufacturing environment. Experience with ERP systems and inventory management software. Industrial Engineering experience preferred. Degree in Supply Chain, Inventory Control, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred. Ability to travel occasionally to suppliers or company facilities. Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of production planning and inventory control principles. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Experience working in a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies. Working Environment This position includes a combination of office and manufacturing floor responsibilities. Occasionally lift materials and inventory items. Work around production equipment and operational activities.
