Location Manager (MPS Feed) Job Summary The Feed Logistics Manager is responsible for managing the daily movement of finished feed at the facility. Key responsibilities include supervising personnel, fostering team development, analyzing load production efficiency, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction while maintaining a strong commitment to employee safety. Success in this role requires excellent customer service, operational efficiency, and support of Mercer Landmark's mission, values, and goals. Responsibilities Oversee daily logistics operations for MPS Feed. Monitor and improve logistics efficiency and daily production performance. Coordinate and assign daily workloads for drivers. Maintain accurate and current fuel, licensing, insurance, and registration records for all fleet units. Monitor and enforce biosecurity protocols to support customer satisfaction and operational integrity. Organize and communicate monthly safety meetings. Recognize individual team strengths and leverage them to improve departmental performance. Support team members in their daily functions and identify opportunities for increased efficiency. Ensure compliance with outbound feed biosecurity standards. Duties Schedule and organize daily load lists provided by the Poultry Manager. Evaluate logistical and operational efficiency and implement improvements to maximize productivity. Schedule preventive maintenance, service appointments, and DOT inspections for all fleet equipment. Ensure trucks and trailers are maintained in a clean and professional condition that reflects company standards. Manage inventory and supplies necessary to maintain fleet operations. Review and approve employee timecards on a bi-weekly basis. Establish quarterly and annual performance goals for direct reports. Conduct performance evaluations to measure employee progress and development. Promote employee engagement through clear communication, accountability, and team support. Meet regularly with the Location Manager to review responsibilities, expectations, and departmental performance. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Strong customer service skills, including the ability to effectively handle challenging customer situations. Demonstrated leadership ability with a track record of motivating team members, accepting feedback, and recognizing employee achievements. Proficiency in Microsoft Teams and Excel. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to safely lift and handle up to 50-pound bags. Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required. Possess and maintain a valid, insurable driver's license. Ability to work extended hours when business needs require. Commitment to maintaining a safety-first work environment.
