Job description We are looking for a Logistics Lead to coordinate supply chain and distribution activities to ensure the efficient movement of goods; work with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to maintain smooth operations, accurate records, and high service levels. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, supply chain knowledge, and a customer-focused mindset. Responsibilities (Core Hours - Monday- Friday; 8am-4:30pm) Schedule and coordinate trucks to deliver product by maximizing the load capacity of our in-house trucks. Determines shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet customer delivery dates. Works with customer service to pull in orders and get fills to ensure we have full trucks on first and second runs. Escalate missing items to production team and customer service. Communicate with drivers on routes/dock appts/ETAs. Meet with customer service to review all missed shipments and provide reason — ensures all orders are rescheduled by end and day. Prepares shipping and receiving documents accompanying shipments including packing lists, bills of lading, and all other required paperwork. Inspects and verifies incoming goods against packing lists or other documents. Maintains internal record-keeping system. Reviews daily shipping/receiving reports to ensure proper and timely order shipment. Aids in resolving shipment errors and issues. Participates in continuous improvement projects and department meetings. Performs all work in a safety-first mentality and with utilization of lean manufacturing skills. Related tasks as requested by supervisor. Skills High school diploma or equivalent required Proven experience as logistics coordinator required, with in-house fleet in manufacturing industry preferred Experience in customer service will be appreciated Knowledge of DOT laws and regulations is a plus Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes required MS Word, Excel, and Outlook experience required Computer-savvy with a working knowledge of logistics software preferred Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities required Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required AS400 experience is a plus
