- $130,000 Job Description We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimize all facets of our supply chain operations within the defense sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight of inventory, including management of government-owned property, in full compliance with applicable regulations.
- Manage Costpoint Inventory modules to ensure accuracy, accountability, and audit readiness.
- Oversee BSI management and ensure adherence to system processes.
- Direct shipping and receiving operations, ensuring materials are deployed quickly and efficiently.
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, leveraging AI-driven tools and technology to identify, evaluate, and select suppliers.
- Provide oversight of purchasing and procurement activities to ensure cost-effective, compliant, and timely acquisitions.
- Monitor schedules and metrics related to material delivery performance, enabling the organization to Operate with Confidence in meeting program milestones.
- Collaborate with Quality to validate and maintain the Approved Vendor List (AVL), ensuring supplier reliability and alignment with performance standards.
- Support quoting and proposal efforts through material cost estimation, vendor quoting, and market analysis.
- Drive technology adoption and continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain to enhance visibility, efficiency, and decision-making.
- Direct and mentor staff across Purchasing, Inventory, Tool Control, and Shipping/Receiving functions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, or logistics, with demonstrated leadership experience within the defense and aerospace industry.
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint Inventory Management and BSI systems, or similar systems required.
- Ability to travel a minimum of 25% between our Colorado facility and our Dayton, OH facility.
- Strong understanding of government property management regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to develop, evaluate, and manage supplier relationships.
- Familiarity with AI tools and technology-driven solutions for supply chain optimization.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience supporting government contracting environments is a plus
- Knowledge of
FAR/DFARS
