Job Description
We are looking for a Logistics Specialist to support the smooth movement of materials and products across warehouse and distribution activities. This long-term contract position will focus on maintaining efficient supply flow, accurate inventory records, and dependable coordination with internal partners to meet operational goals. The role is fully onsite during standard business hours and is well suited for someone in logistics who can balance compliance, service, and day-to-day execution.
Responsibilities:
- Direct daily logistics activities to keep material flow aligned with operational and distribution needs.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by monitoring warehouse records, reconciling discrepancies, and supporting effective stock control practices.
- Coordinate the movement of raw materials, components, and finished goods while assisting with transportation arrangements as needed.
- Work closely with procurement, planning, production, and quality teams to support timely and efficient order fulfillment.
- Use SAP R/3 and related systems to manage logistics transactions, reporting, and workflow visibility.
- Uphold safety, regulatory, and company standards across warehousing and distribution processes.
- Track logistics performance and prepare reports that help identify issues, improve service levels, and support decision-making.
- Help ensure warehouse and distribution operations remain organized, responsive, and cost-conscious.
- Support process continuity across logistics workflows, including system-based coordination and documentation activities when required.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline is preferred.
- At least 6 years of experience in logistics or supply chain operations.
- 4-6 years of experience supporting warehouse and distribution environments.
- 4-6 years of hands-on experience using SAP R/3 for logistics or inventory-related processes.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple functional teams.
- Proven problem-solving ability in fast-paced operational settings.
- Working knowledge of compliance expectations, safety practices, and inventory control standards.
- Experience in regulated industries such as pharmaceutical or biotech environments is an advantage.
