About Tea Around Town Tea Around Town is a unique sightseeing experience that combines afternoon tea, live entertainment, and city sightseeing aboard our signature double-decker buses. As we continue to expand across the United States, we are looking for strong, hands-on leaders to oversee our local operations and ensure every tour delivers the high standard our guests expect. Position Overview The City Supervisor is responsible for the daily execution of Tea Around Town operations within their assigned city. This is a hands-on operational leadership position. The City Supervisor is expected to be present in the operation, support the team, inspect equipment, solve problems in real time, and ensure each scheduled tour is fully staffed, properly stocked, clean, safe, and ready for guests. The Two City manager will oversee local Drivers, Servers, Singers/Hosts, and operational support staff and will work closely with National Operations, Dispatch, Training, HR/Safety & Compliance, and other company departments. Key ResponsibilitiesDaily Operations Oversee all daily Tea Around Town operations within the Philadelphia and DC Areas Ensure every scheduled tour is properly staffed and prepared before departure. Confirm Drivers, Servers, Singers/Hosts, and other assigned employees report on time and are tour-ready. Conduct pre-service checks to ensure buses are clean, stocked, organized, and properly presented. Monitor tour departures and address delays, call-outs, equipment issues, or service disruptions. Coordinate with Dispatch and National Operations throughout the operating day. Assist directly in the operation when necessary to prevent service interruptions. Maintain a strong field presence and understand what is happening within the operation at all times. Employee Supervision Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to local employees. Monitor attendance, punctuality, uniform compliance, performance, and professional conduct. Coach employees and address performance concerns promptly. Ensure employees follow company policies, operating procedures, and service standards. Participate in employee training and onboarding. Assist with second-round interviews and provide hiring recommendations to management. Document employee performance or conduct issues and work with HR and management when corrective action is required. Help build a positive, accountable, and professional team culture. Bus & Fleet Readiness Ensure buses are operationally ready before scheduled tours. Complete or verify required vehicle walk-arounds. Ensure Drivers complete required pre-trip and post-trip DVIRs . Monitor Samsara compliance and escalate vehicle or safety concerns immediately. Coordinate vehicle issues with Maintenance, Dispatch, and National Operations. Ensure buses are washed at the required frequency. Verify daily cleaning and weekly deep-cleaning standards are completed. Conduct regular cleanliness and presentation inspections. Inventory & Product Readiness Maintain organization of local supplies, operating materials, and inventory. Ensure buses have the necessary supplies before each tour. Conduct and document required cycle counts. Identify shortages before they affect operations. Coordinate replenishment of food-service supplies, guest materials, uniforms, operational supplies, and other inventory. Maintain organized storage areas and ensure company property is properly controlled. Guest Experience Ensure every tour meets Tea Around Town's customer-service and presentation standards. Monitor the appearance and professionalism of the local team. Respond to guest concerns and operational issues professionally and promptly. Work with Customer Service and Operations when guest complaints require additional follow-up. Identify recurring service issues and implement corrective actions. Protect the Tea Around Town brand and guest experience on every departure. Safety & Compliance Reinforce all company safety policies and operating procedures. Ensure employees comply with applicable DOT, transportation, food-service, workplace, and company requirements. Immediately report accidents, incidents, injuries, vehicle concerns, or other safety issues. Ensure required company forms, inspections, and documentation are completed accurately and on time. Work closely with the HR/Safety & Compliance team regarding local compliance requirements. Support compliance with applicable licenses, permits, and operating requirements within the city. Ensure employees do not operate equipment or perform duties outside their authorization or qualifications. Scheduling & Attendance Monitor the local operating schedule and identify staffing gaps before they impact service. Coordinate staffing concerns with Scheduling, Dispatch, and National Operations. Respond quickly to call-outs and other unexpected staffing issues. Verify employees are working their assigned schedules. Report scheduling, attendance, and staffing concerns to management. Support operations during high-volume periods, weekends, holidays, and special events. What We Are Looking For The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who is comfortable being in the field and taking ownership of an operation. Qualifications Previous supervisory or management experience in transportation, hospitality, tourism, food service, entertainment, or a related operational environment preferred. Strong leadership and employee-management skills. Ability to manage multiple employees and operational priorities simultaneously. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Excellent communication and customer-service skills. Comfortable working with mobile applications and operational technology. Ability to learn and use systems such as Samsara and company scheduling/communication platforms . Strong attention to detail and follow-through. Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with national leadership. Must be dependable and able to respond to changing operational conditions. Valid driver's license required. Commercial driving experience or CDL is a plus but is not required unless specifically designated for the location. Schedule Requirements Tea Around Town operates primarily during high-demand tourism periods, including weekends and holidays. The City Supervisor must have schedule flexibility based on the needs of the operation. Weekend availability is required. The City Supervisor should expect to be present during the periods when the operation needs leadership most—not simply during traditional Monday-Friday office hours. Physical Requirements This is an active field position and may require: Standing and walking for extended periods. Entering and exiting double-decker buses. Moving supplies and operational materials. Bending, reaching, and assisting with bus preparation. Working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Lifting and carrying supplies as reasonably required by the operation. Success in This Position A successful City Supervisor maintains an operation where: Tours leave on time. Employees report as scheduled. Buses are safe, clean, stocked, and guest-ready. Drivers complete required inspections and documentation. Inventory is controlled. Staffing problems are identified early. Guest-service standards are consistently maintained. Safety and compliance expectations are followed. Problems are resolved before they become larger operational issues.
