Electronics Materials Manager Location:
Waukegan, IL - Hybrid (2 Days in Office, 3 Days Remote)
Pay Range:
$80K-$100K (Based on experience & qualifications)

Health, dental, and vision insurance. 401(k) Brilliant Financial Staffing has been engaged in a search for an Electronics Materials Manager with our client located in Waukegan, IL . Our client is a well-established aerospace and electronics organization that develops advanced systems and components for the aviation industry. They are looking to add an experienced Materials Manager to their team on a permanent basis. This newly created position will lead a team of three and oversee procurement and materials management activities.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of Buyers, Planners, and Procurement Specialists. Oversee daily procurement and materials planning activities. Develop sourcing strategies and manage supplier relationships. Identify and qualify new suppliers while monitoring pricing, quality, and delivery. Plan material requirements and ensure availability to support production. Identify supply risks and develop mitigation strategies for critical components. Analyze BOMs and identify cost-saving opportunities. Issue RFQs and purchase orders and negotiate pricing and lead times. Maintain ERP/MRP parameters and monitor material status. Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Operations on supplier and material issues. Manage component lifecycle, substitutions, and obsolescence risks.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of procurement experience. 5+ years of ERP/MRP experience. Previous people-management experience. Strong supplier management and sourcing background. Experience in a regulated industry preferred. Electronics/electrical component experience preferred but not required. Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
