  • Trucking & Logistics to oversee our day-to-day transportation operations.
This position will serve as the primary operational leader responsible for overseeing dispatch, drivers, administrative operations, equipment, freight movement, and customer/broker coordination. The Operations Manager must be able to lead, delegate, hold the team accountable, and make day-to-day operational decisions independently, allowing the CEO to focus on company growth, strategy, and major business decisions. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily trucking and logistics operations from pickup through final delivery. Supervise and delegate responsibilities to dispatchers, administrative staff, drivers, and other operational personnel. Ensure loads are properly assigned, routed, dispatched, tracked, delivered, and closed out. Monitor driver schedules, routes, availability, location, and performance. Ensure drivers receive accurate load assignments, BOLs, delivery information, and instructions. Monitor pickups, ETAs, deliveries, delays, redeliveries, and returned freight. Ensure customers, brokers, and warehouses receive timely operational updates. Resolve driver, customer, warehouse, equipment, and delivery issues. Oversee truck availability, rentals, fuel access, maintenance needs, and roadside issues. Ensure drivers have adequate fuel and operational resources before and during their routes. Ensure BOLs, PODs, delivery photos, and required shipment documentation are properly completed and collected. Ensure completed loads are submitted promptly for billing. Monitor outstanding operational issues and delegate follow-up until resolved. Establish and enforce operational procedures and expectations. Hold team members accountable for communication, attendance, documentation, performance, and assigned responsibilities. Identify operational inefficiencies and implement improvements. Provide the CEO with regular operational updates and escalate matters requiring executive approval. Broker, Warehouse & Field Oversight Maintain professional working relationships with brokers, warehouses, and transportation partners. Travel periodically to the broker's warehouse in Georgia to observe and oversee operations. Verify drivers are arriving and being loaded according to company expectations. Ensure freight is being properly identified, organized, documented, and loaded onto the appropriate trucks. Work with warehouse personnel and drivers to address loading, freight, documentation, or scheduling issues. Identify recurring warehouse or loading problems and work with the broker and internal team to develop solutions. Verify drivers understand their assigned freight and routes before leaving the warehouse. Represent She Rock Logistics professionally during broker and warehouse visits. Report significant warehouse, freight, or broker concerns to the
CEO. 24/7
Operations & On-Call Expectations She Rock Logistics operates 24/7, and drivers may travel overnight, on weekends, and outside normal business hours. The Operations Manager will primarily work during normal business hours but must be reasonably available after hours for urgent operational matters, including: Driver emergencies and operational escalations. Fuel-access or fuel-card issues. After-hours fuel needs. Truck breakdowns and roadside assistance. Rental truck or equipment issues. Delivery delays or missed appointments. Refused or unsuccessful deliveries. Route changes and urgent customer/broker issues. The Operations Manager is expected to plan ahead so drivers have adequate fuel, equipment, documentation, customer information, and instructions before normal business hours end whenever possible. Leadership Expectations We are looking for a leader and delegator—not simply another dispatcher. The Operations Manager is expected to take ownership of daily operations, assign responsibilities to the appropriate team members, follow up on completion, make sound operational decisions, solve problems before they escalate, and maintain accountability across the team. Routine operational matters should be handled by the Operations Manager. Major financial, legal, safety, customer, or business matters should be escalated to the CEO. Qualifications 3+ years of trucking, transportation, freight, or logistics experience preferred. Previous operations management, dispatch management, or supervisory experience strongly preferred. Experience managing drivers and/or dispatchers. Knowledge of freight dispatch, BOLs, PODs, route planning, and delivery operations. Box truck, final-mile, LTL, or multi-stop delivery experience preferred. Strong leadership, delegation, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple drivers, loads, and priorities simultaneously. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Comfortable making independent operational decisions. Proficient with email, spreadsheets, GPS/fleet tracking, and transportation technology. Must be dependable and responsive to urgent after-hours operational matters. Must be willing and able to travel periodically to Georgia and other operational locations as business needs require. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. What We Expect The Operations Manager should know where our drivers are, what freight is on each truck, what has been delivered, what remains outstanding, what equipment is available, what problems require attention, and who is responsible for resolving them. This position requires someone willing to be hands-on when necessary, including visiting warehouse operations in the field, while also having the leadership ability to delegate rather than trying to perform every function personally. She Rock Logistics is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
