Securityhunter, Inc. - Securityhunter is an employee-owned company providing electronic and physical security solutions to federal customers and is based in Baltimore, Maryland. We are interested in expanding our team to meet the demand of our federal clients.We are looking to hire a full-time Supply Chain Manager to oversee both Procurement and Warehouse/Logistics operations.
The position would be responsible for managing the procurement process, inventory, warehouse operations, and overall logistics to ensure efficient and cost-effective supply chain management.
Supply Chain Manager duties include:
Procurement & PurchasingOversee the Procurement Manager and procurement teamEstablish purchasing policies and proceduresMonitor supplier performanceNegotiate pricing, terms, and contractsDevelop and maintain key supplier relationshipsReview purchasing trends and identify cost-saving opportunitiesEnsure purchases comply with company policies and contract requirementsMonitor purchase orders and outstanding commitmentsEstablish appropriate purchasing controls and approval thresholdsInventory ManagementEstablish inventory management policies and proceduresMonitor inventory levels and turnoverIdentify excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventoryEstablish reorder points and stocking levelsCoordinate periodic and annual physical inventory countsInvestigate inventory discrepanciesWork with Accounting on inventory valuation and adjustmentsDevelop strategies to reduce excess inventory without creating shortagesWarehouse & LogisticsOversee the Logistics/Warehouse ManagerEnsure efficient warehouse operationsEstablish procedures for receiving, storing, picking, and shipping materialsEnsure inventory is properly identified and locatedMonitor warehouse space utilizationOversee shipping and receiving processesEstablish warehouse safety and security proceduresMonitor logistics costs and carrier performancePlanning & SupplyCoordinate purchasing requirements with operational needsForecast material requirementsIdentify potential supply shortagesDevelop contingency plans for critical suppliers/materialsCoordinate procurement schedules with project/production schedulesMonitor lead times and supplier capacityFinancial & Cost ManagementManage supply-chain-related budgetsMonitor purchasing and logistics costsAnalyze material and freight costsIdentify opportunities for cost reductionsWork with Finance/Accounting on inventory and purchasing-related issuesMonitor inventory investment and working capitalPerformance & ReportingThe Supply Chain Manager would typically establish KPIs such as:
