This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for someone who knows how to connect engineering, procurement, inventory, suppliers, and production to keep complex projects moving. Benefits and Compensation Competitive salary based on experience Medical, dental, and vision benefits 401(k) program Paid vacation, sick time, and holidays Employee health and wellness reimbursement programs Career development and continued education opportunities Long-term growth opportunities within the organization Stable, full-time leadership position Opportunity to work on complex vessel construction and marine fabrication projects Requirements & Qualifications 7+ years of progressive supply chain, purchasing, production planning, material control, or operations experience 3+ years leading supervisors, managers, or multidisciplinary teams Experience in shipbuilding, marine construction, heavy manufacturing, defense, or a similar project-based production environment Strong working knowledge of purchasing, BOMs, supplier management, inventory controls, project schedules, budgets, and material requirements Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Working proficiency with Microsoft Project and ERP/procurement/inventory systems Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, operations, or related field, or equivalent directly relevant experience Must Haves Lead Purchasing, Planning & Scheduling, and Material Control as one integrated operation Connect engineering releases and BOMs to procurement, receiving, warehousing, kitting, and production need dates Identify long-lead and critical-path material issues before they impact vessel production Manage supplier sourcing, negotiations, performance issues, and recovery plans Ensure production has the correct drawings, work packages, materials, and schedule information when needed Drive inventory accuracy, material traceability, cycle counts, and reconciliation Monitor project schedules, labor utilization, material readiness, budgets, commitments, and emerging constraints Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Production, Project Management, Quality, and Finance Build meaningful KPIs and use the data to improve cost, lead times, inventory accuracy, and schedule performance Preferred Background & Skills Shipyard, vessel construction, vessel repair, or marine systems experience Multiple concurrent project experience Long-lead or engineered equipment/material procurement Defense, aerospace, heavy fabrication, industrial construction, or engineered-to-order manufacturing experience CPSM, CSCP, CPIM, or comparable certification Supplier quality and corrective-action experience Continuous improvement/process standardization background Experience working around regulatory or customer hold points
