Job Description

Ambassador Personnel is seeking an Inventory Manager for a manufacturing client located in Duncan, SC. This direct hire opportunity is with a well-established manufacturer known for delivering high-quality products to a diverse customer base. The company operates in a fast-paced production environment where inventory accuracy, material flow, and operational efficiency are critical to success. The Inventory Manager will be responsible for leading inventory control functions, maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting ERP system management, and overseeing shipping and receiving operations. This position will supervise a team of three employees and serve as a key partner to production, quality, accounting, and supply chain teams. Job Responsibilities Monitor inventory levels and maintain inventory accuracy throughout receiving, production, inspection, and shipping processes. Manage quarterly cycle counts and analyze inventory reports and count results. Create and maintain part numbers, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and pricing within the ERP system. Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions. Generate inventory reports and assist with inventory and financial reporting requests. Support monthly production variance and defect reporting activities. Assist with customer returns (RMAs) and supplier return processes. Review, resolve, and approve vendor invoice discrepancies related to inventory transactions. Provide inventory, vendor, product, and delivery information to internal departments. Assist with ERP system troubleshooting and support. Lead and develop the shipping and receiving team, consisting of two Receiving Associates and one Shipping Associate. Work collaboratively with production, quality, accounting, and leadership teams to support operational goals and continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Previous experience in inventory management, inventory control, materials management, warehouse operations, or a related field within a manufacturing environment. Experience managing inventory transactions and maintaining inventory accuracy. Strong understanding of cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, inventory reporting, and inventory control best practices. Experience working with ERP systems. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple departments. Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Preferred Qualifications Experience with IFS ERP. Experience creating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs). Experience with part creation and product data management. Experience working within a Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) environment.
