Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Leader to oversee daily operations within our warehouse environment. The Shift Leader will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining safety standards, and leading a team of associates. This position requires strong mechanical knowledge and experience in warehouse management to facilitate effective materials handling and inventory control. Duties Supervise and coordinate daily activities of warehouse staff to ensure efficient operations. Implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs. Oversee inventory management and control, ensuring accurate stock levels are maintained. Utilize the Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking inventory and managing orders. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies within the warehouse. Train new employees on warehouse procedures, equipment operation, and safety protocols. Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed. Conduct regular inspections of the facility to maintain cleanliness and organization. Experience Proven experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is essential. Strong mechanical knowledge related to warehouse operations and equipment maintenance. Familiarity with materials handling techniques and inventory control processes. Previous experience as a warehouse supervisor or in a leadership role is preferred. Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for inventory tracking. Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements effectively. Forklift certification is a plus but can be obtained upon hiring. m. 2nd shift is Sunday-Friday with Saturday as Needed All lead positions will need to come in 30 minutes early and stay 30 minutes late to start and end the shift.
