INDOPACOM
Regional Operations Department, to inform warfighter requirements, modernization priorities, and new concepts. The department drives the rapid transformation of current and future USAF warfighter operations through rapid prototyping; digital engineering; mission analysis; innovative concept development, requirements development and application of enabling technologies; and operational and technical assessments through experimentation and field evaluations. With direct connections to warfighters, N173 informs technology innovation and capability analysis, as well as development and analysis of Concepts of Operation, mission threads, use cases, and operational requirements.Roles & Responsibilities:
The Contested Logistics Principal Systems Engineer is responsible for bringing a diverse perspective to our DoD contested logistics work program. The successful candidate will partner across the entirety of MITRE's organization to achieve impactful outcomes for the sponsor and increase enterprise impact.Specific responsibilities include:
Leadership- Provide strategic and technical leadership as a trusted advisor to senior leaders across MITRE, our sponsor, and key stakeholders. Develop and Implement solutions to increase MITRE's brand and setting MITRE up as a Contested Logistics Leader. Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate across MITRE's National Security and Public Sectors to achieve outcomes that benefit our sponsors, stakeholders, and nation. Collaboration
- Provide strategic level advice and coordination in support of the sponsor's mission. Collaborate internally and externally to implement innovative whole of government approaches to address Contested Logistics most pressing challenges. Innovation
- Recommend best of breed approaches to creatively address identified challenges; leverage MITRE's Independent Research and Development (IRAD) programs to deliver additional impact to the sponsor.
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, engineering, or related field; or 8 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 5 years' experience; or equivalent combination of related education and experience Progressive leadership experience in logistics, transportation, mobility operations, aviation operations, supply chain, military operations, or related enterprise operational environments Strong background in data-informed decision-making, operational reporting, and performance management Experience in organizational transformation, modernization initiatives, and change management at the enterprise level Excellent written, verbal, and executive-level communication skills Demonstrated ability to collaborate and integrate across diverse teams to achieve larger outcomes than any one organization can achieve on their own Must have an active Secret U.S Government issued Security Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government issued Security Clearance. Per the U.S. Government's eligibility requirements, you must be a U.S Citizen to be considered for a security clearance. This position requires a minimum of 3 days a week on-site.Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree or higher in logistics, business administration, strategic studies, operations management, public policy, or related field. 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in logistics, transportation, mobility operations, aviation operations, supply chain, military operations, or related enterprise operational environments Experience supporting Department of Defense, U.S. Air Force, or other national security missions. Experience directing worldwide transportation networks, mobility operations, or enterprise logistics functions across multiple regions Active TS/SCI clearance This requisition requires the candidate to have a minimum of the following clearance(s): Secret This requisition requires the hired candidate to have or obtain, within one year from the date of hire, the following clearance(s): Top Secret/SCI Salary compensation range and midpoint: $162,400- $203,000
