Full Job Description Job Summary:
Manage assigned suppliers and purchased materials to support production and service requirements. Convert planning signals into timely purchasing actions, maintain supplier commitments, resolve supply risk, and support inventory health, supplier qualification, and continuous improvement within the Supply Chain Operating System (SCOS).
Key Responsibilities:
Execute purchasing plans and maintain accurate purchase orders, pricing, dates, terms, and supplier commitments. Review ERP demand, lead times, planning recommendations, and supply exceptions; act early on shortages and projected risk. Manage supplier communication and performance, including delivery, capacity, quality, past due orders, NCRs, and corrective actions. Review inventory health and recommend changes to lead times, order multiples, safety stock, days supply, and forecasts. Support new, alternate, and dual-source supplier searches, qualifications, audits, first articles, and trial orders. Collaborate with Planning, Engineering, Quality, Operations, Warehouse, Finance, and NPI to resolve material and supplier issues. Identify and complete improvements that reduce cost, lead time, shortages, supply risk, or process waste.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or related field preferred. Three to five years of purchasing, materials, manufacturing, or supply chain experience preferred. ERP proficiency and experience with planning exceptions, purchase orders, and supply-and-demand detail. Strong analytical, supplier-management, negotiation, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Working knowledge of supplier quality, inventory, lead times, total cost, and basic commercial terms.
