Exempt Salary Range:
$110,000-$135,000 Make an Impact Beyond Purchasing Dakotaland Manufacturing is looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead and strengthen our purchasing and supply chain function across multiple locations. This position may be based at either our Sioux Falls or Watertown, South Dakota location. This is an opportunity for a hands-on, strategic leader who can build strong supplier partnerships, improve sourcing performance, optimize raw material inventory, and develop a high-performing team. You'll have the opportunity to make a measurable impact on cost, cash flow, supply continuity, and manufacturing performance. What You'll Own Lead, develop, and manage team members by establishing clear expectations, strengthening accountability, and building organizational capability. Develop and execute sourcing and procurement strategies, including supplier selection, negotiations, contracts, and long-term supply agreements. Manage supplier relationships, performance, and risk to achieve cost, quality, delivery, service, and supply-continuity objectives. Manage raw material replenishment and inventory strategies to support production requirements while optimizing inventory investment, turns, and excess and obsolete inventory. Collaborate across locations and functions to align supply plans and supplier strategies with production demand and business priorities. Establish and monitor key performance indicators, communicate supply chain performance and risks, and drive continuous improvement. What You'll Bring 7+ years of progressive purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment. 3+ years of leadership, supervisory, or departmental management experience. Demonstrated success in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, supplier performance management, and supply-risk mitigation. Experience managing raw material replenishment, inventory investment, inventory turns, and excess and obsolete inventory. Strong working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and purchasing and planning processes. Strong analytical and business acumen with the ability to use data to identify opportunities, manage risk, and improve performance. Proven ability to lead people and influence effectively across functions and locations. Experience in metal fabrication, machining, or industrial manufacturing is preferred. Education & Professional Credentials A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Procurement, or a related field is preferred. An equivalent combination of education, relevant professional credentials, and experience will be considered. ASCM CPIM or
CSCP, ISM
CPSM, or a comparable supply chain or procurement certification is preferred. Additional Requirement Ability to travel between the Sioux Falls and Watertown locations , as well as to supplier locations and other business-related destinations, as needed.
