Job Summary The Hub Manager is responsible for managing end-to-end operations of a last-mile logistics facility, including hub sorting operations, inbound and outbound package flow, and final-mile delivery execution. This leader is accountable for achieving daily KPIs related to productivity, efficiency, cost control, and sorting accuracy, while ensuring safe, timely, and reliable delivery performance. The role requires a hands-on leader with strong operational capabilities and team leadership experience who is comfortable working in a high-volume logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Hub Operations:
Oversee all aspects of hub sorting operations, including package receiving, scanning, sorting, staging, and dispatch. Ensure daily KPI targets are met across key areas, including productivity output, sorting accuracy, labor efficiency, and cost control. Manage staffing, workflow planning, and resource allocation to support high-volume package handling. Maintain high standards of safety, process compliance, and operational discipline across all warehouse functions.
Cross-Functional Leadership:
Monitor operational data and reports to identify trends and drive continuous improvement. Partner with Regional Logistics, Human Resources, Customer Service, and Finance teams to align local operations with broader company goals. Recruit, train, coach, and develop hub and service center teams to build a high-performance culture. Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and all applicable regulatory and safety requirements.
Qualifications:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex information and make data-driven decisions. Extensive experience with process improvement methodologies to enhance operational efficiency. Strong knowledge of inventory control practices and material management principles. Familiarity with category management strategies to support effective product sourcing and procurement. Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for inventory tracking and logistics optimization. Understanding of freight operations and transportation planning processes. Experience with AS400 or similar systems is preferred.
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
