This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee supply chain operations, build strong supplier relationships, and ensure the seamless availability of high-quality parts to meet customer demands. As a key driver of operational efficiency, you will champion innovative sourcing strategies, optimize warehouse processes, and deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Your expertise will help us maintain our reputation for reliability and excellence in the commercial trailer industry. Responsibilities Manage all aspects of parts procurement, sourcing OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and aftermarket trailer parts to ensure optimal inventory levels and cost efficiency. Oversee inventory control processes using inventory management systems and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) platforms to maintain accurate stock levels and streamline order management. Develop and nurture supplier relationships through negotiation, performance evaluation, and supplier management experience to secure favorable pricing and reliable delivery schedules. Coordinate logistics, shipping & receiving activities, and warehouse management to guarantee timely order fulfillment while minimizing excess stock. Utilize automotive diagnostics knowledge and mechanical expertise to assist with parts administration, troubleshooting, and technical support for customer inquiries. Implement demand planning strategies based on sales data analysis, forecast accuracy, and market trends to optimize inventory turnover. Lead internal communication efforts across departments such as sales, procurement, manufacturing, and service teams to ensure alignment on parts availability and customer needs. Maintain detailed records of parts sourcing, pricing negotiations, purchase orders, and inventory movements using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) or other inventory management systems. Support continuous improvement initiatives in parts sourcing processes by leveraging data entry skills and automotive parts knowledge to enhance operational efficiency. Skills Extensive supply chain management expertise with a focus on logistics inventory management and procurement processes. Proven supplier management experience with strong negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms. Automotive diagnostics proficiency combined with mechanical knowledge relevant to trailer systems and automotive parts. Warehouse management capabilities including forklift operation certification for efficient stock handling. Familiarity with ERP systems, inventory management systems, Parts administration tools, and order management systems. Knowledge of OEM standards, auto body repair processes, vehicle systems, sourcing strategies, and shipping & receiving procedures. Strong internal communication skills paired with excellent data entry accuracy for seamless operations across departments. Customer service orientation with the ability to address client inquiries promptly while maintaining professional relationships. Experience in demand planning, procurement management, pricing strategies, and automotive service environments is highly desirable.
