Parts & Service ManagerLumberjack Harley-Davidson — Nacogdoches, Texas Lumberjack Harley-Davidson is looking for an experienced, driven Parts & Service Manager to lead and grow our Parts and Service operations. This is a key leadership position for someone who understands that a great dealership experience doesn't end when the motorcycle leaves the showroom. Our Parts and Service departments are critical to customer retention, dealership profitability, and long-term growth. We are looking for a leader who can take ownership of the operation, develop people, improve processes, and create a service experience that keeps customers coming back. What You'll Be Responsible ForService Department Leadership Lead the day-to-day operation of the Service Department. Manage technicians, service writers, and support personnel. Improve technician productivity, proficiency, efficiency, and overall shop performance. Monitor repair orders from write-up through completion and delivery. Reduce open and aging repair orders and ensure work moves through the shop efficiently. Identify and reduce lost labor opportunities. Maintain appropriate scheduling and workflow to maximize available technician hours. Ensure warranty work is properly documented, submitted, followed up on, and collected. Maintain high standards for quality control and customer communication. Work closely with the Service Writer to ensure customers receive accurate estimates, timely updates, and a professional experience. Monitor service performance metrics and take corrective action when results fall below expectations. Parts Department Leadership Lead the Parts Department and ensure it effectively supports both Service and retail customers. Manage parts purchasing, receiving, stocking, special orders, and returns. Maintain appropriate inventory levels while minimizing obsolete and excess inventory. Improve parts gross margin and contribution. Increase parts sales opportunities through Service, accessories, tires, and customer relationships. Ensure technicians have the parts they need when they need them to keep repair orders moving. Maintain accurate inventory controls and accountability. Financial & Operational Accountability Take ownership of Parts and Service department profitability. Understand departmental P&L statements and use the numbers to drive decisions. Track labor sales, hours available, hours billed, productivity, proficiency, repair orders, parts sales, gross profit, inventory, and expenses. Establish measurable goals for the departments and hold the team accountable for achieving them. Work with dealership leadership to develop and execute plans for growth and improved profitability. Customer Experience Create a service experience that builds customer loyalty. Personally address escalated customer concerns when necessary. Develop a culture where customers are treated professionally and kept informed. Improve Service Customer Satisfaction and Net Promoter Score. Build long-term relationships with Harley-Davidson riders and our local customer base. The Leader We're Looking For The right person will be more than a manager—they will be an operator and a leader .
You should be someone who:
Has strong powersports, automotive, dealership, or related service-management experience. Understands technician productivity and shop workflow. Is comfortable managing both people and numbers. Knows how to read a department P&L and understands gross profit. Has experience managing parts inventory and controlling obsolete inventory. Can coach and develop employees rather than simply manage them. Holds people accountable while maintaining a positive team culture. Is highly organized and follows through. Communicates exceptionally well with customers and employees. Can make decisions quickly and confidently. Is comfortable working in a fast-paced dealership environment. Takes ownership instead of waiting to be told what to do. Understands that profitability and customer satisfaction must work together.
